About Rob Wells and Lewis Racing

Rob has had over 40 years experience with Morgans and other classics, having prepared cars for and raced with, Charles Morgan, Malcolm Paul and Keith Ahlers with much success and including several championship wins.

Rob spent 30 years with Libra Motive, his Morgan dealership in London. He then sold that and started Lewis Racing doing race preparation, whilst building up the Librands business, designing and marketing a wide range of products from complete Morgan exhaust systems to door checks and footlockers. He sold Librands at the beginning of 2018.

He has built, restored and maintained a wide variety of Morgans and other sports cars and sports racing cars over many years from his Morgan agency, Libra Motive in north London, parts business Librands, through to the present day rebuilds and restorations.

Rob currently lives in Hertfordshire with his wife Janice and son Peter (who is an engineer that has caught the car bug) along with Millie, a rescued lurcher/whippet.

Rob prepared, developed and co-drove Keith Ahlers’ Aero GT car in the Cup class in the prestigious British GT championship, the pair coming joint 3rd in class in their first season with the car.
