Rob Wells is able to offer his considerable experience with Morgans and classic cars. Recent projects include rebuilding a 1956 historic racing Plus 4 and fitting SSL front and rear suspension upgrades to a Roadster. Rob has also restored, race prepared and driven Morgans and other classics in competition.

SSL kit fitting

This 3.7 litre Roadster came in for an SSL RS kit on the front and SSL 5 link kit on the back.
The owner recently texted from France: “The Mog was brilliant on the mountain roads even in the wet. Even with the dampers set soft, it’s dramatically better than it’s ever been.”

Historic Plus 4 rebuild

The painstaking rebuild of this beautiful historic Plus 4 is now complete and Rob has space in his well equipped workshop for another project.

Restoration of classic cars

This 1963 TVR Grantura arrived in a sorry state. Restored by Rob Wells who fitted with new chassis and body. The finished project is shown in the next picture. It has achieved several championship wins in GT and Sportscar Cup.

Race Preparation

Lewis Racing has developed many successful class winners. Pictured above: the Lewis Racing built TVR which won its class by 44 seconds at Thruxton Historic recently.

American classics

We have uprated the brakes on this 1963 Studebaker Avanti with 4 pot calipers and ventilated discs at the front. installed a new heater and air conditioning unit and fitted electric power steering.

Lewis Racing prepared Moss box Plus 8 at Spa. Rob Wells also co-drove the car.
